Do-not-disturb contract during Grand Theft Auto VI

Between the SIGNING PARTY and the COUNTERPARTY, hereinafter "the one who plays", the following digital cohabitation agreement is entered into, for the sole purpose of making sure the GTA VI launch does not end in an argument.

  1. I. Purpose of the contract

    The SIGNING PARTY agrees not to interrupt, distract or sabotage the COUNTERPARTY during their Grand Theft Auto VI sessions, from launch day until the COUNTERPARTY considers it has been enough.

  2. II. Silence during cutscenes

    Talking, asking or sighing during cutscenes is strictly forbidden. Not even a "what is going on?". Cutscenes are not paused, not replayed and not explained.

  3. III. Banned phrases

    The SIGNING PARTY shall refrain from uttering the following phrases: "are you almost done?", "how much longer?", "just one tiny thing", "you are on that all day" and any variation, synonym or translation thereof.

  4. IV. Supply of provisions

    The SIGNING PARTY shall provide snacks, drinks and ice on demand, with reasonable notice of one (1) mission. Food delivery counts as a gesture of good faith and will be taken into account.

  5. V. Grace window

    A grace window of seventy-two (72) hours is established starting November 19, 2026, automatically extended if the COUNTERPARTY is in the middle of a heist.

  6. VI. Shared console use

    The SIGNING PARTY may request play time for a maximum of one (1) hour per day, booked in advance and subject to the COUNTERPARTY’s availability.

  7. VII. Legitimate exceptions

    The following count as valid interruptions: fire, medical emergency, flooding, a general internet outage and running out of dessert. Nothing else counts.

  8. VIII. Penalties

    Breach of any of the above clauses is penalised with: one (1) ice cream, one (1) dinner of the SIGNING PARTY’s choice and a twenty (20) minute foot massage. Penalties are cumulative.

  9. IX. Term and renewal

    This contract takes effect immediately and renews automatically with every DLC, expansion, major patch or re-release the COUNTERPARTY decides to play.

Having read and accepted the clauses, the parties declare that they understand the spirit of the agreement and acknowledge that there are no refunds.

FAQ

Everything you are about to wonder

Is this legally binding in any way?

Not in the slightest. It is a joke made with affection. No contract signed on a web page can force anyone to do anything, let alone stay quiet during a cutscene. It is good for a laugh and for putting on record that the promise happened.

How do I send it to my girlfriend?

Type both names in the generator, tap "Generate the link" and share it on WhatsApp, Telegram or wherever you like. She receives the contract with the names filled in and only has to sign with her finger. If she opens it on the same phone you generated it on, that works too: it does not have to be another device.

Do I need to install anything or create an account?

No. There is no signup, no email, no password and no app to download. Open the link, sign, done.

Do you store my signature or my data on a server?

No. Everything happens inside your browser: the signature is drawn on screen, used to build the image and gone when you close the page. The names travel inside the link you share, not in a database. The only things saved are your language preference and your cookie choice, and they are saved on your own device.

Can I sign from a computer?

Yes. It is designed for phones because a finger is more fun than a mouse, but the signature box works the same with a mouse or trackpad. In that case your full name usually comes out far more legible.

What if my girlfriend refuses to sign?

That case is not covered by the contract and, honestly, it has no technical solution either. The only thing we can offer is that the certificate looks great in a phone gallery.

How long does the contract last?

As long as the game and all of its post-launch content. Clause IX renews it automatically with every DLC, expansion or major patch, so the conversation can happen all over again in a few months.
